The Inaugural Class of 2009 comprised of 29 referees and 19 members of the Timing / Scoring School reported to Chase Arena on the campus of the University of Hartford on June 27, 2009 for a comprehensive 21 hour program to include classroom presentations (Soup to Nets), assigned game activity in the 3 person system, individual taping and considerable and significant one on one personal interaction with Staff**.
Students listed the following locations as home: TEXAS, LOUISANA, GEORGIA, PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, MASSACHUSETTS, NEW HAMPSHIRE, CONNECTICUT and one student from ITALY.
Highlights of School - this session:
- 4 Hour visit by Joe Borgia, Sr. VP - NBA Basketball Operations
Officiating for NBA - WNBA - NBDL - Visit by officiating crew for the CT Sun game 6/27/09
- 2 day visit and observations by retired NBA Ref #24 Ed Batogowski
- Individual on Court Evaluations and video breakdown completed with NBA, WNBA, NBDL, NCAA D-1 Observers.
